Soap Making with Milk Class
Saturday, January 31 (10:00am-1:00pm)
This class is one step up from the Basic Cold-Process Soap Making Class. You will learn the simplest way to add different milks to your soaps and the properties they contribute. We will also use clays for color and essential oils or natural fragrance oils to scent the soaps.

Beginning Backyard Maple Sugaring
Saturday, February 7 (10:00am-11:30am)
If you have ever thought about collecting and making Maple syrup yourself, then this is the class you don’t want to miss. We will discuss tapping trees, collecting sap, and making syrup. Enjoy refreshments made with Maple syrup.

Pruning Fruit Trees*

There is more to growing fruit than planting the trees, and harvesting the crop. Properly trained, and pruned fruit trees will yield higher quality fruit and will live significantly longer. Please join us as we cover the basic techniques so you have the “courage and confidence” to make the right cuts.
**NOTE: “Pruning Fruit Trees” Feb 14 and “Pruning Grapes & Berries” Feb 28. If you choose to take both classes, you will receive a discount – total cost for both will be $25

Waxed Dipped Amaryllis

A waxed amaryllis bulb is completely self-sustaining and will bloom with no care whatsoever. Waxed amaryllis bulbs make great little gifts that you can feel good about giving, and the perfect way to get a spot of Spring color!

Hunter Education Course
Saturday, March 7 & 14 (9:00am-3:00pm)
Taught by specially trained and highly qualified Certified volunteer and Division of Wildlife staff. They’ll help you understand where and when it’s legal to go for the game you want. Classes will take place over two days (approx. 8-12 hours). Your instructor will cover a range of topics from conservation, safety, and ethics to the proper handling of shotguns, handguns, bowhunting gear, and more. This course is designed for every age and ability. You must attend both days.

Beginning Beekeeping Class
